The St Sergius hill, to do what by 2024 (i.e. 100 years after its creation)?

In a spirit of openness to the world and the city, the Colline Saint-Serge brings together in one place:

• an European Orthodox cultural center,
• a place to host cultural events and related events in a spirit of openness to the world and to the city that characterizes Saint Sergius Hill,
• a diocesan center allowing the holding of diocesan conferences, pastoral meetings, and events that bring together clerics and laity, reflection and enrichment sessions for the clergy, catechists and psalmists,
• a bookstore and a distribution center for goods and objects for worship,
• a high-level training center for pastors, theologians, catechists, psalmists at the service of the Church and the Christian media, in order to ensure the pastoral care of parishes in Western Europe,
• a place for research and creation in theological, liturgical, biblical, historical studies and religious philosophy,
• a parish community providing liturgical life, pastoral care, catechesis for children and adults,
• possibly a place of reception for a revival of monastic life,
• an emergency shelter for the refugees or the needy.

All these activities in one place interpenetrate and enrich each other.

In relation to these objectives, the hill currently has:

• the church of Saint-Sergius of Radonezh which is a magnificently decorated church ("PIR" classification in progress). This church benefits from a daily liturgical life carried by the great Russian monastic tradition, unique in Western Europe. It also represents an important school of Traditional liturgical singing. The church houses the liturgical life of a lively parish community.
• the world-famous Saint-Sergius Institute of Orthodox Theology, which benefits from various academic courses, some of which are particularly adapted to the modern world and which has audiovisual and digital means. The Institute has a full faculty, and a library of great wealth formed largely from the personal libraries of famous past professors. In addition, the Institute can take advantage of the annual organization of "liturgical weeks" of ecumenical scope.
• Finally the property (3145 M2) and the premises (1509 M2 surface) offer many possibilities in Paris. In particular: a foyer open to all students, a 150-seat conference room equipped with modern audio-visual means, a garden open to the public and maintained by the Saint Sergius garden association.
